Supporting Families
Minnesotans are facing a cost-of-living crisis. This impacts rural Americans at a higher rate. I will advocate for additional support with child care costs, lower health insurance, and tax breaks for small business owners and farmers.
Property Tax Relief
Too often there is a shortfall in state funding, which leaves local governments increasing property taxes. We need to find new and creative funding streams at the state level in order to close the funding gaps and reduce the property tax burden facing property owners.
Education
All children deserve equal access to a quality education, no matter where they live. The public school funding formula is no longer working. I’ll advocate for a new funding formula that will produce better outcomes.
Labor
Minnesota’s prosperity is built on the strength of its workers. I support expanding the freedom to organize and ensuring every job provides a family-sustaining wage with robust benefits. By protecting collective bargaining and safe workplace standards, we can build an economy that truly rewards the hard work of our farmers, laborers, and families.
Data Center Moratorium
Minnesota needs a pause on data center development while the state and local government can get ordinances in place that protect the people that will be forced to live next to data centers. I also support these companies paying their fair share in taxes.
